Yang Yoon, 46, was found with multiple gunshot wounds as officers responded to investigate reports of a robbery/shooting at Selma’s Liquor Store on Washington Boulevard in Arbutus on Jan. 21, 1997.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead shortly after.

Witnesses at the scene told detectives that Yoon had been in the basement of the liquor store when two suspects entered the store intending to rob it.

A struggle ensued and turned fatal when Yoon ran upstairs and confronted the suspects.

The suspects were last seen fleeing in a small newer model green-colored car.

A composite sketch of one of the suspects was completed based on details provided by witnesses at the scene and released by the Baltimore County Police Department this week.

Anyone with information about the case may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Those with information are urged to contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587 (7LOCKUP). Residents may also provide details about this crime and those responsible through the Baltimore County Police Department’s iWATCH program.
